Since May 25, 2018, the General Regulation for Data Protection (RGPD) has come into force. It guarantees European citizens the proper use of their personal data by Third Parties. We assure you of Community Saint-Martin’s commitment in this area.
Your data is used to inform you of the community’s actions, to manage your donations, purchases, subscriptions or event registrations, to improve your experience on our site or to appeal to your generosity, for as long as is strictly necessary to achieve these purposes. The Communauté Saint-Martin protects your data and remains the sole owner.

Privacy policy
The Communauté Saint-Martin undertakes to comply, as the data controller, with the provisions of Law no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended and the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD – 2016/679) and any other texts that may be added to it.
In the data protection policy below you will find the means we have implemented to achieve this.
1. Fields of application
This policy applies to all processing of personal data carried out by the Communauté Saint-Martin, regardless of the media on which the data has been collected.
2. The data collected
We collect information when you fill in a form: to ask a question, request information, make a donation or subscribe to our magazine. We collect the information you enter: your surname, first name, postal or e-mail address, telephone number, etc. The bank details of your donations are not kept by us, but by our bank, except in the case of direct debits, for which the necessary SEPA mandates are kept by us.
When you browse our website and our social network pages, we also collect technical information about your device (IP address) and browsing statistics.
As part of our online forms, certain additional technical information may be temporarily stored, such as the user’s IP address or information on the browser and system used (so-called “user agent”). This data is collected exclusively to prevent automated or abusive mailings (spam) and to ensure site security.
It is not used for commercial purposes.
3. Purpose of data collection
All the information we collect from you may be used by our communications department and our donor relations department for various purposes: managing donor relations, issuing tax receipts, sending a newsletter, managing your subscription and registrations for one of our events, managing your orders. We also use your data to send you personalized information, to appeal to your generosity or for statistical purposes, particularly with regard to navigation on our website.
4. Retention period
La Communauté Saint-Martin retains your data for the time strictly necessary to achieve the above-mentioned purposes.
5. Data storage and security
Communauté Saint-Martin takes all necessary measures to protect the security of the personal data entrusted to it. To this end, it implements the necessary technical and organizational measures to prevent any alteration, loss or unauthorized access to your data.
Communauté Saint-Martin also works with service providers who act in compliance with the French Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD).
Personal data is stored in the European Union, in our software or that of our service providers.
6. Access rights
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of January 16, 1978 and the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, you have the right to access, rectify, limit and delete any data concerning you.
