Seminary trip to Provence
At the end of the first semester’s exams, the seminarians of the Community of Saint-Martin and several teaching priests (don Louis-Hervé Guiny, don Pascal-André Dumont, don Jean-Rémi Lanavère, don Enguerrand de Lorgeril and don Augustin Azaïs) went on a community trip. Don Paul Préaux, general moderator of the Community was also present a few days with them.
Every year, this trip is an opportunity for seminarians to discover another way of living community life, and to grow in fraternal charity outside the daily life of the seminary. This trip is also an opportunity to meet local churches and visit the main cultural sites of a region.
This year, the seminarians went to Provence. On the agenda: Avignon, the Notre-Dame de Vie sanctuary in Venasque, the Notre-Dame du Laus sanctuary, the Benedictine abbey of Jouques and the diocesan seminary of Aix-en-Provence. The seminarians also visited the parishes of Meyzieu and Arles which are entrusted to the Community of Saint-Martin. This trip was also an opportunity to visit priests in the ministry.
At the end of this beautiful journey, the seminarians took the road to Evron where were waiting don Philippe Seys and don François-Régis Moreau who remained to guard the seminary.
